I help professionals navigate STEM and technically adjacent careers by bringing a scientist’s mindset to clarify your next move, own your impact, and communicate your unique value, credibility, and expertise—on paper, online, and in conversation.

I’m a former R&D lab tech and product development engineer, and the founder of Scientech Resumes. I spent several years in chemistry and engineering roles across R&D, product development, and manufacturing environments in both the US and the Netherlands, working on cross-functional teams to solve hard problems under real-world constraints.

I know firsthand how difficult it can be to explain technical work and its impact to the different audiences you’ll encounter.

How I Got Here

I didn’t plan to become a resume writer and career coach. This work grew directly from years in science and engineering—inside labs, on technical teams, and navigating my own career transitions.

For a long time, the lab felt like home. I learned how to ask the right questions, design experiments, and analyze data for patterns and insights. That mindset shapes how I work with STEM professionals today.

My perspective shifted when I moved to the Netherlands. Relocating without a job lined up meant navigating a new market, culture, and language, and persuading a Dutch employer to sponsor me for a visa over a native citizen. I had to rethink how I positioned my experience—both on paper and in interviews—and get (more) comfortable talking about my work to people without a technical background.

This experience fundamentally changed how I think about the job search and the systems behind it. It showed me how often capable professionals struggle, not because they aren’t qualified, but because they don’t know how to frame their experience in a way that resonates with ATS, recruiters, HR, and hiring decision-makers.

Returning to the US

Over time, it became clear that my job in the Netherlands wasn’t sustainable for the long term. I started asking harder questions about which roles and work actually made sense for me.

After returning to the US, again with no job lined up, I was at a crossroads. While abroad, I freelanced as a resume writer and discovered that helping people on a personal level was deeply rewarding.

That realization led me to establish Scientech Resumes in 2016, a career marketing and coaching firm dedicated exclusively to STEM professionals.

How I Work

Since then, I’ve worked with STEM professionals at every career stage—from new graduates to senior executives—helping them clarify their goals and re-establish the first impression they make with target employers.

While I’m no longer in the lab, I still think like a scientist:
